Hi! I am Miss Swain. This will be my second year in 5^th grade at Palos West Elementary School. Previously you might have seen me in 3^rd grade for three years prior to being in fifth grade. I have taught with District 118 since the Fall of 2007. I received my undergrad at Eastern Illinois University and just completed my Master’s Degree as a Reading Specialist from Olivet Nazarene University. I am very proud to represent Palos West to the best of my abilities. I take my role as an educator very seriously and wish the best for all of my students. It is my belief that one day these students will be enrolling in college and applying skills that they have learned in this very classroom. I only hope that they will look back on 5th grade as being the most enjoyable, accepting, and knowledgeable growing experience that they have had. I look forward to their many future successes.
