Mrs. Sarah Leahy Welcome! I am happy to be the School Social Worker at Palos East
Elementary School. I have held the position of School Social Worker at Palos
East since 2003. My educational experiences include a Bachelor of Arts degree in
Social Work and Psychology from Carthage College. Additionally, I have a
Master of Social Work degree from University of Illinois-Chicago and Master
of Science in Educational Administration from University of St. Francis. Over the course of my professional career, I have worked with
children of varying needs, ages three through thirteen, in both mental health
clinics and schools. My professional memberships include the Illinois Association
of School Social Workers, as well as the National Association of Social
Workers. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Jim. Together
we enjoy traveling, sporting events and spending time with our extended
