Welcome
to 7th grade language arts! This year will be my seventh year
teaching at Palos South Middle School. As the second oldest of seven, I took
on the role of “teacher” very early on and ultimately, decided to turn it
into a career. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development from the
University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, a Master’s degree in Elementary
Education from St. Xavier University, and a second Master’s Degree in
Educational Administration in Concordia University. Learning has always been
such an integral part of my life that my goal is to make it an even bigger
part of your child’s life and help him/her become a “life-long learner”. Seventh
grade is a challenging year that asks each student to increase his/her skills
and knowledge, independently demonstrate skills that he/she has acquired,
explain the strategies the he/she used, and support his/her ideas with
references from the text and other resources. My commitment to each student
does not start and stop with the sound of the school day bell. I am always
available and willing to help. My goal is to assist each student in achieving
his/her “personal best” and working towards reaching his/her “ultimate
potential”. Last Updated:
