I am the
School Psychologist at Palos South and this is my fifth year working in
District 118. I have been working as a School Psychologist for nine years. I
received both my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and my Master of Arts
degree in School Psychology from Governors State University. Some
of my responsibilities at Palos South include coordinating individual case
study evaluations. I also set up and participate in all of the IEP meetings
at South. I provide individual and/or group counseling to both regular
education and special education students. I collaborate with teachers, administration
and parents concerning academic, social and emotional needs of students. I am
part of the PBIS team and the RTI team at Palos South. I also co-sponsor the
Cardinal Pacesetter program. This
program has eighth grade students serve as sixth grade connection leaders in
which they teach lessons about issues impacting Palos South Students. The
Pacesetters act as role models to the younger students at Palos South. Palos
South is a great school and I am looking forward to a wonderful school year.
I can be reached at Palos South everyday with questions or concerns at
761-3905 or by e-mail, kdjikas@palos118.org.
