Welcome to First Grade!

My name is Karen Ancevicius and I am very excited about the learning we will share this year! This is my fourth year teaching in Palos 118, and I have over thirteen years of prior teaching experience. I have a B.A. in Elementary Education with a Reading minor from Purdue University, a M.S. in Curriculum and Instruction from Purdue University, and a M.A. in Educational Administration from Governor’s State University. My husband and I have two daughters who are in elementary school. My hobbies outside of school include spending time with my family, reading, and running. You may see me running in the neighborhoods around school with my running group. Please say hi or jump in and run a bit with us!
