Classroom Information

SUBJECT AREAS

Your child will be spending their day in a variety of environments.  Part of their day will be spent learning in my classroom and other parts of the day will be spent in their general education rooms.  These times and learning environments are individually scheduled according to each child’s I.E.P.  Both curriculum and I.E.P. goals will be taught across environments throughout the day.  Individual schedules will be sent home at the beginning of each year to give you a better idea of how your child spends his / her day.

CHARACTER / BEHAVIOR

The character traits of honesty, respect, responsibility, and compassion play a very important role in our school and our classroom.  Throughout the year, we will have many discussions and participate in activities that will help us become honest, respectful, responsible, and compassionate citizens.  Please talk to your children about these character traits at home and reinforce good choices that they make outside of the school environment.  We will be working hard to practice these skills and will learn how important it is that we are honest, respectful, responsible, and compassionate in ALL environments, not just in school.

Our classroom rules follow these character traits:

1.)   Be a good listener

2.)  Always do your best work

3.)  Be nice to others
