Accelerated Learning Program for Students

Mrs. McNamara

This is my seventh year teaching at Palos East, but my first year as the A.L.P.S. teacher.  I received my Gifted Verification from the state of Illinois this summer and I look forward to working with accelerated learners in grades 1-5 this school year. I taught first grade for the past five years and during the 2005-2006 school year I taught fifth grade.  I earned a B.A. degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in language arts, science, and Spanish from Benedictine University in 2005.  In May of 2008, I received my Master of Education Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Olivet Nazarene University. I am currently working on earning a second Masters of Education degree, this time in Gifted Education from American Public University. This degree will be completed by February 2011.
