Dear
Room 42 Math Parents,
As
you may already be aware, the Unit 2 math test had been planned for this
Tuesday and Wednesday, November 11 and 12.
However, due to an assembly scheduled for this Wednesday afternoon, as
well as conferences, the Unit 2 assessment
will need to be moved to next week. The assessment
will now be on Monday and Tuesday, November 17 and 18. Students have received a
study guide, as well as practice problems from the unit. Students are to work on the review problems
for homework tonight. We will review the
problems, and unit, on Tuesday. Additionally,
students should be using their S.R.B.,
the Math Journal pages, and the Study Links workbook associated with the
unit. Tomorrow, I will send home the Recognizing Student Achievement individual
lesson assessment sheets. This sheet was
explained in a previous communication. The
Recognizing Student Achievement sheet
will indicate areas of strengths and weaknesses to focus on over the next few
days as students continue to prepare for their assessment.
Please
continue to encourage your child to practice basic math facts often, as well as
visiting the Everyday Mathematics Web
site to review skills. As always, feel
