The New Palos 118 Web Site Launches on December 1!

PeaceDay_11.jpgHello and welcome to my Home Page!  This page is intended to provide you with a lot of classroom information, and a little bit about myself.

I am a 1984 graduate of Northern Illinois University with a B.S. degree in elementary education.  My degree emphasis was in the earth sciences.  I received my M.A. degree in curriculum and instruction from National-Louis University in 1995.  I have completed an additional 34 semester hours of graduate work beyond my M.A. degree, in elementary education and environmental education.  I am also an adjunct faculty member of National-Louis University’s Center for the Gifted.

2011 - 2012 begins my 28th year of teaching.  I have been a teacher at Palos West since 1987.  I have taught cardinal.gifgrades 1 - 5 (but not all of them at West).  In addition to currently teaching fifth grade, I am the school’s Computer Club and Earth Day Coordinator.  If you’re interested in more stuff about me (yawn), you can find it in the General Homeroom Information link below.  Finally, please take some time to visit the Palos West Home Page.

Many thanks to the Gateway Program sponsored by the Alphabet Superhighway ,the University of Delaware, the Joyce Foundation, and The United States Department of Education.   They allowed me to post my first Web pages on their server in 1997.

A very special thanks to Dr. Margaret Johnson for her inspiration, assistance, and patience in helping me learn how to write and post these Web pages way back when...!
