My name is Debbie Pryzwara and I am the School Psychologist at Palos West School. I have been working in School District 118 since 1997. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Allegheny College and my Master of Science degree in School Psychology from Illinois State University. In addition, I am a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. I hold professional memberships with the National Association of School Psychologists and the Illinois School Psychologists Association. I am happy to serve the needs of the students at Palos West. Some of my responsibilities include collaborating with staff and parents about students, assisting with the Response to Intervention process, evaluating students to help determine eligibility for special education services, facilitating conferences to discuss the needs of students, and being a resource to staff and parents. In addition to my role at Palos West, I coordinate the District’s Preschool Screenings and I facilitate the transition of children who are moving from Early Intervention services to school-based services at the age of three.
