Jane Baskwill Welcome to the Wonderful World of Reading! I have had the honor of
teaching in District 118 since 1998.
My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree from
Lewis University and a Masters degree in Reading. My past experience includes
teaching first, second and third grade.
Presently I am the Emergent Learner Teacher. I help kindergarten, first and second grade
students develop their early literacy skills.
The focus of reading instruction includes phonological awareness,
phonics, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension. My goal is to help students become
