My name is Mrs. Andrekus and this is my first year teaching at Palos South. I have many fun filled activities planned and am extremely excited to begin this school year. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in Language Arts and Social Studies at the Middle School level and my Master’s degree in Teaching and Learning from DePaul University. Seventh grade is a very exciting and challenging year, where each student must give forth tremendous effort and participation. We will focus on persuasive writing and debating, note taking and studying skills, and literature discussions. We will also concentrate on sentence structure, building our vocabulary and grammar skills. I am here before and after school, so each student can receive one on one help if they feel they need assistance (or just need help with a homework problem).
